He is survived by: his wife Gladine Pannell Bruer; his children, James Michael Bruer, Carl L Bruer II and Denitra L Bruer; his grandchildren, Carl III, D'Andre, Avery, Tyler, Caiden, Carmela Bruer and Naomi Robinson; his brother Jack Bruer of South Charleston, WV.; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Pannell (JP), Walter Pannell (Cookie) of Charleston, WV, Tyrone Broden of Detroit, MI, Candi Margaret Bruer of Charleston, WV, Leona Pannell Herbert (Cat), Ruby Brown and Shelby Pannell of Detroit, MI. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
