He is survived by: his wife Beverly Shaffer (Ringsmith); his children, Matthew Shaffer (Melissa), Laura Williams (Dennis), Kristin Wychopen, Deborah Shaffer and Kathryn Shaffer; his brothers, Gregory Shaffer (Nancy), Jeffrey Shaffer (Lanna) and Scott Shaffer (Renetta); and his sisters-in-law, Beth Arheit (Dick) and Pam Ringsmith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
