He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Robin Welch; his daughters, Kassandra Hall and Ashleigh Macleod; his sons-in-law, Robert Hall and Will Macleod; his grandchildren, Shyenne Hall, Zoey Hall, Walker Macleod and Cordell Macleod; and his parents, Marvel Welch and Frank Welch. He was also cherished by many other family members and many great friends.
In lieu of flowers, Jim asked for donations to be made towards his services as in his own words direct to Kassy, "I don't want you to say you paid for my funeral.".
