She was predeceased by: her siblings, Victorine W. Mattox (Robert W.), Barbara A. Ward (William C.) and James E. Weeks (Genevieve). She is survived by: her husband William Paul Hitchner, Sr.; her children, Kristen Elissa Hitchner and William Paul Hitchner, Jr.; her brother Joseph Patrick Weeks, III (Verna); and her pet Fiona. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Forest Park the Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery (18000 I-45, The Woodlands, TX 77384). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
