He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny (Lois Speier) and Houston. He is survived by: his children, Sam Speier and Claudia Speier Thornton (Kyle Thornton); and his siblings, Johnny (Lynn Speier), Mary (Tony Gracely), Jim (Kay Speier), Kathleen (Paul Rockett) and Ann (David Streater). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and friends.
