He was predeceased by: his parents, Helga Algert and Edward Algert; and his grandson Travis Arlin Strand. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Sanders; and his daughters, Kristen Algert of Austin, Texas, Nance Algert (Kenita Rogers) of Austin and Alison Strand of Spring, Texas..
