He was predeceased by: his grandmother Virgina Holub; his father Gerald Smith (Jody); and his siblings, Bobby, Gary (Boa), Ricky and Rita.

He is survived by: his wife Angela; his sons, Rodger Smith Jr. (Texas), Rodney (Elizabeth), Greg (Synthia) and Ronny Smith Norfolk (Silvana); his grandchildren, Courtney, Eric, Juan Jr., Mariano, Joelissa, Daniella, Alexis, Nicolas, Justin, Carter and Emily; and his siblings, Sandra, Diane, Jerry and Susie. He is also survived by great grandson on the way and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
