He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Clyde Waters and Zettie "Glaspie" Waters; his wife Pat Waters of Cooper, Texas; his daughters, Pamela West of Cooper, Texas and Nancy Waters of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Chris West, Byron West, Jessica DeLeo, James West, Derek d'Agrella, Brittni d'Agrella and Elyse d'Agrella; and his great grandchildren, Elijah West, Evie West, Nora West, Hannon West, Merritt West and Jade DeLeo.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Delta Funeral Home (451 SE 1st St, Cooper, TX 75432). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the New Hope Church (1301 SW 8th St, Cooper, TX 75432). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at the Oaklawn Cemetery.
