William leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. William’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew William will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Conrad Brandes and Marjorie Heaton Brandes; and his wife Karen Ann Hancock. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Ann Verrett (Dave) of The Woodlands and William Hancock Brandes (Tisha) of Flower Mound; and his grandchildren, Paul Verrett, Ann Verrett, Katelyn Brandes and William Brandes.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Highland Park United Methodist Church, Cox Chapel (3300 Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, TX 75205).
