He was predeceased by: his parents, Pablo Diaz and Beatrice Diaz; his wife Maria Diaz; his siblings, Juan, Maria Luisa, Solomon and Arturo Diaz; his cousin Manuel Diaz; his son-in-law David Alvarado; and his pet Chiquita.
He is survived by: his children, Esther Alvarado, Pablo Diaz (Adelina), Diana Martinez (David), David Diaz, Jr. and Sylvia Maldonado (Emilio); his grandchildren, Rene, Amy, Wendy, Mindy, Cindy, Jenny, Melanie, Adam, Cecily, Eric, Evan, Melinda and Karen; and his great grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Jaylynn, Chloe, Matthew, Noah, Avery, Nathan, Lainey, Quinn, Gizelle, Juliette, Jonah, Evelyn, Mason, Olivia, Lauren, Aubrey, Faith, Deric, Christian, Hailey and Emily. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Memory Gardens Funeral Home (8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78415). A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78415).
