He is survived by: his wife Carrie J. Smith of Lake City; his son Eddie M. Smith, Jr. (Denise) of Ingleside, Texas; and his daughter-in-law Tonya Kay Smith. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
