It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Scott Wermuth of Corpus Christi, Texas, who passed away on August 28, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though John Scott may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Wermuth and Betty Hopper; and his sister Betty. He is survived by: his wife Tracy Freeman; his daughters, Cheryl Rasche (Bruce) and Carla Stivers; and his stepdaughter Michele Johnston (Buck). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members and many special friends he loved.
