He was predeceased by: his parents, Candelario Gutierrez and Enriqueta Gutierrez (Diaz); and his sister Belsa Villarreal (Gilberto). He is survived by: his wife Alicia Gutierrez; his children, Christina Fulton (Oscar Fulton) of Magnolia, TX, Mark Gutierrez (Andrea Gutierrez) of Sandia, TX and Ofilia Mercado; his grandchildren, Constance Fulton, Brooke Fulton, Nicholas Fulton, Gabriel Gutierrez and Kayla Gutierrez; his great grandchildren, Adrian Gutierrez, Mathew Gutierrez and Elilah Hernandez; and his siblings, Belia Cortez (Erasmo), Belva Ybarra (Macario), Hector Gutierrez (Viola), Juan Gutierrez, Romula Guerra (Rafael) and Teresa Pena. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Guardian Funeral Home (5922 Crosstown Access Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78417). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery (9974 I. H. 37 North Access Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas 78418).
