He is survived by: his children, Colin Kelly Sheffield (Misti), Raymond Lee Sheffield (Robin), Krista Dowd (T. J.) and Ann Lorraine Gooch; his siblings, Floyd Sheffield (Pat), Sandra G. Brister and Brenda S. Dossett; his grandchildren, Ashley, Coby, Darian, Jordan, Ashlynne, Abigail, Benjamin, Connor, Shelby, Avery, Alexandra and Caroline; and his great grandchildren, Emma and Rogue.
A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery (9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410).
