He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harrison Embry, Jr. of Oklahoma and Dr. Cecelia Whelan Embry of Corpus Christi; his sister Mary Embry Katcher; and his niece Katherine "Katie" Katcher of League City, Texas.. He is survived by: his sister Katherine Embry De Mott; his brother-in-law Joseph De Mott; his sister Margaret Embry; his nieces and nephews, Eileen De Mott Curtright (Lance Curtright), Jeffrey Katcher (Mariah Espinosa Katcher), John De Mott (Mary Mings) and Sarah Fuchs; and his great-nieces, Liza, Eleanor and Vivian Curtright. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
