She was predeceased by: her son Clay; her mother Patricia A. Clark; her brother Philip G. Hammond; her father Glenn "Pete" S. Hammond; and her parents-in-law, Johnnie Kosina and Bertha Kosina.
She is survived by: her husband James Kosina; her son Chad Kosina (Christy) of Abilene, Texas; her grandchildren, Dustyn Leazott, Tyler Kosina and Samantha Kosina; her siblings, Susan J. Ballette of Montgomery, Texas and Glenn "Pete" Hammond (Susie) of Groveton, Texas.; her siblings-in-law, Joey Kosina (Peggy) of Moscow, Texas, Billy Kosina (Kim) of Corrigan, Texas, Bert Kosina of Corrigan, Texas and Kathy Magee (Bill) of Palestine, Texas.; and her nieces and nephews, Jeremy Hammond and Stacey Hammond-Calhoun. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
A burial will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Pine Grove Cemetery (246 Pine Grove Rd, Corrigan, TX 75939). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church (993 Union Springs Rd, Corrigan, TX 75939).
