She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Paul and Gertrude Ida Trompler (Muesse); her husband Harry Lee Grounds; her siblings, Halmut Trompler, Buddy Trompler, Leona Radke and Frances Hollingsworth; and her grandson Luke Grounds.

She is survived by: her children, Diana Goode (Ken), Brenda (James), Harry Gene Grounds (Cheryl), Donnie Grounds (Mandy) and Terry Grounds (Tommie Batson); her grandchildren, Missy Lassiter (Chris), Michael Goode (Amanda), Tammy Craddock (Cavan), Marty Goode (Katherine), J. D. Stubbs (Statia Stanford), Weston Grounds (Candace) and Walker Grounds (Becca); her great grandchildren, Cody Goode (Dawn), Mikaela Mebane (Connor), Carley Goode, Everett Craddock, Austin Goode, London Goode, Leighton Grounds, Langston Grounds, Hadley Grounds and Heidi Grounds; and her great great grandchild Maverick Mebane.
