With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harold Smith in Corsicana, Texas, who passed away on December 26, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Vivian Smith Claridge of Teague and Harold Smith of Madill, Oklahoma.; his brother Jack Smith of Houston; and his grandparents, A. O., Minnie Collins, Jack and Ida Smith.

He is survived by : his daughters, Gina Martin of Fairfield, Lana Hager and Hillery Biddy of Corsicana; his sisters, Sherry Matthews, Nancy Norman of Austin and Susan Hodges of Georgetown; his friend Peggy Williamson of Pasadena; and his brother Donald Lanier Smith of New York City.

Contributions may be made in Bing's name to the Freestone County Historical Museum or the Shanks Memorial Cemetery.

“Our deepest deepest condolences to all the family. Thank you Hillery for letting us know about your Dad"s passing. We were very saddened to hear this. I feel bad because he crossed my mind a few weeks ago and had intentions to call him to wish him a Happy New Year. I worked with Harold at the Lyondell Refinery. He was a good employee. Such kind hearted man. This is not a good bye Harold but a see you later buddy. May the Lord Jesus Christ give you all strength in this time of need.”
