James Edward Compton Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on September 3, 2023, at the age of 74, James Edward Compton (Corsicana, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Harlin (Jim) and Noleta Hardie Compton (Nita); his wife Karen Pearson Compton; his daughter Ellen Compton Carter; his son-in-law Charles H. Carter; his grandchildren, Emmalee Grace Carter and James Harley Carter of Mabank; and his cousins, Marcie Bishop of Dallas, James Hardie of Austin and Ed Hardie of Round Rock.

In lieu of flowers, donations to First Methodist Church Music program or the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
