She was predeceased by: her husband James Robert Joyner, Jr. (Bob); her son John Joyner; her son-in-law Scott Reeves; her grandson Mark Joyner, Jr.; and her great great grandchild Kase Etheridge.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Bobbi and Juli; her siblings, John Slate, Franklin Slate, Margie Slate Neese and Faye Slate Graves; her children, Phil Joyner (Janis), Mark Joyner (Marjorie), Bobbi Nesmith and Juli Reeves; her children-in-law, Carolyn Joyner and Dan Nesmith; her grandchildren, Mandi Jones, Byron Joyner, Scott Joyner, Jeffrey Joyner, Courtney Charanza, Jason Joyner, Candi Joyner, Danielle Orr, Dylan Nesmith, Trey McDonald and Tommy Cawthorn; and her sister Doris McMillan (Lawrence). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and family friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to The Alzheimer's Foundation, National MS Society, American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice, in memory of Ruby Frances Joyner.
