She was predeceased by : her parents, Claud Sherron and Sarah Ellen Bean Sherron; her husband Jimmie Glee Slater; her siblings, Betty Bernice Kneupper, Lemuel Eugene Sherron and Betty June Reed; and her grandson Jimmy Glee Slater.

She is survived by : her children, Jamie S. Vaught of Midland, Glee Reynaud of Midland and Gene Slater (Ginger) of Crane; her sister Lena Dutton of Lindale, TX; her sister-in-law Marilyn Sherron of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; her grandsons, Michael Slater and John W. Vaught; and her great grandchildren, Ashley Michael Slater, Jordan J. Vaught, Joshua G. Slater, Jonathan Slater, Jaylah N. Vaught and James W. Vaught.
