He is survived by: his wife Juanita; his children, Barbara (Robert Carrasco), Lynda Salas (Liza Tarango), Gerald Rivera, Jr. (Cristina Martinez) and Adlina (Thomas Kinsey); his grandchildren, Jacinda, John, Bree, Reina, Brandon, Sofia, Angelica, Bianca, Jesus, Elizabeth, Gabriel, Anna and Joseph; and his great grandchildren, Renley, Hazel, Selena, Cielito, Nick, Ember, Eli, Cayde and Amaryllis.
