She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Rees and Edna Rees; and her sister Norma Gale. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Powell; her children, Douglas (Debbie) of Lakeway, Hazel and Jimmy; her grandson James Morgan Powell; her brother Dr. Earl Rees (Elaine "Lanny") of Tucson; her sisters-in-law, Johnnie Chancellor of Corsicana and Jaqueline Warren of Latexo; Susan Powell of Austin.
