He was predeceased by: his wife Becky Mazo Lomax Baker; his brothers, Paul Baker and Ronnie Baker; and his parents, Edith F. Duncan Stricklan and Forrest H. Baker.
He is survived by: his children, David "Shane" Baker of Hanover, Indiana, Kelli Arfmann (Matt) of Deputy, Indiana, Debbie Lewis (Mark) of Madison, Indiana, Claude Reese (Kris) of Hanover, Indiana, Alvin Burress (Dana) of Dayton, Texas, Chester Burress (Cristina) of Austin, Texas, Michele Lockridge of Conroe, Texas and Johnny Lockridge of Livingston, Texas.; his grandchildren, Baxter, Malli, Makayla, Aaron, Kaneesha, Janay, Jamila, Britney, Jesse, Phoenix, Remington, Mia, Raven, Cody, Chance, Justis, Dillon and Paris; and his sisters, Alma Marie Wilcox of Campbellsburg and Katherine Spencer of Pasadena, Texas.. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sterling-White Funeral Home & Cemetery (11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Sterling-White Cemetery (11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562).
