She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Carrizosa and Maria Luisa Carrizosa; and her siblings, Louis Carrizosa, Jr., Armida Olvera and Billie Arroila.
She is survived by: her husband Benjamin Chavez, Sr.; and her children, Benjamin Chavez, Jr., Richard Chavez (Kimberly Higgs Chavez) and Susan Chavez Posado (Michael Posado, Sr.). She is also survived by five grandchildren, and great grandson.
