He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter Kelley Lanier and Vivian Lollie D. Griffith; his grandson Ashton Wayne Yates; and his brother Darrell Kelley Lanier. He is survived by: his children, Kimberlee Yates of Van, Texas and Lucas Lanier (Brooke) of Cross Plains; his grandchildren, Rhiannon, Evaleigh and Ashley Herrington (Jared); his great grandchildren, Ashtyn, Aiden, Jamison and Juniper of Van; his granddaughter Mattie Lacey (Ethan); and his siblings, Sharron Lanier (Anderson), Randy Lanier of Cross Plains, Shannon Lanier (Irene) of Kaufman and Barry Lanier (Jackie) of Abilene, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
