He was predeceased by: his parents, Eulas Lewis, Jr. and Minnie Mae Odum; his stepfather Amos Odum, Sr.; his brother Ervin Odum; and his parents-in-law, Charles and Flora Sparkman.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Sparkman Lewis; his children, Richard Anton Lewis (Ku-Masi) and Soldgie Dennis; his grandchildren, Kaleb Lewis, Ashley Earle, Jordan Lewis and Jasiah Primus; his siblings, Verneda Sanders, Copotenia Fletcher (Diann), Gloria Watley, Marian (Curtis), Greg Odum (Anita), Rhonda Williams (Marcellus) and Amos Odum, Jr. (Michelle); and his aunt Jewelean Chess. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
