He is survived by: his mother Elena Maldonado Licon; and his siblings, Sylvia Licon, Esther Licon, Elizabeth Licon, Lisa Licon, Patricia Licon-McFarland, Ascencion Licon, Carol Licon, Melissa Perez, Romero Licon Jr., San Martin Licon, David Licon, Felipe Licon and Matthew Licon Sr.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freund Funeral Home (213 N Gonzales St, Cuero, TX 77954). A rosary will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (705 W Broadway St, Cuero, TX 77954).
