He was predeceased by: his parents, Pilar Salazar (Paula Galan Rodriguez Salazar) and Gregorio; his wife Josefa Vela; his son Armando Salazar; his great great grandchild Royal Burmeister; and his siblings, Seta Zamora, Virginia Villa, Flavia Lopez, Andrea Trevino, Dominga Ramos, Pilar Salazar Jr., Trino Salazar, Johnny Salazar and Fernando Salazar.
He is survived by: his children, Rodolfo, Gregorio Jr. (Virginia), Daniel (Raquel), Diana (Eusebio), Rebecca (Raymond) and Jaime (Blanca); his daughters-in-law, Graciela Salazar, Blanca (Carlton) and Linda (Kent); and his sister Severa Yanes. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freund Funeral Home (213 N Gonzales St, Cuero, TX 77954). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (705 W Broadway St, Cuero, TX 77954).
