He is survived by: his wife Gerhild Scheerer; his daughters, Sandra Rogers (Tim) of Kingman, AZ and Sheryl Hurley (Patrick) of Middleton, WI; his brother Robert (Julia) of Bel Air, MD; and his grandsons, Benjamin Hurley and Ethan Hurley. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
