With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Nell Dicus of Cypress, Texas, who passed away on November 23, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children-in-law, Michael and Rhonda; her son Philip; her daughter-in-law Judy Eileen; her grandchildren, Summer, John, Aaron, Lauren, Emily, Josie and Ryan; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Bryan, Rand of Brandy, J. T., Andrew, Isabella, Ian, Layla, Evie, Madelyn and Michael; her great great grandchildren, Maria, Lydia, Jacob and Brie; her siblings, Wilma, Jean and Jack; her former husband Herman Dicus; her great grandchild Caleb; her parents, David Whitten and Vivian Adele Whitten; and her children, Michael, Rhonda and Judy Eileen. She was also cherished by her nieces, nephews, in-laws and countless friends.
Mary Nell traveled to all fifty US states, her children organizing trips for her to the hard ones – Judy and Michael took her to Vermont, David and Rhonda to Hawaii and Philip and Judy Eileen to North Dakota, a state she visited at the age of 85 during the middle of a global pandemic.
