He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Starr (Rowland) and Tony Collins (Karen); his sister Jo Phillips; Brother Scott Darby. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:20 PM at the Bradfield Chapel Cemetery (2156 Co Rd 4108, Daingerfield, TX 75656).
