He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Clifton and Julia Faye Clifton; and his stepchildren, Donna Rhyne and Darrell Rhyne. He is survived by: his wife Martha Clifton of Daingerfield; his son Jonathan Clifton of Dallas; his stepchildren, Ronald Rhyne of Linden and Priscilla Gonzales (Todd) of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Chelsea Rhyne of Linden, Tad Rhyne of Linden, Zach Gonzales (Kelsey) of Broken Bow, OK, Carter Gonzales (MaKayla) of Queen City, Lynnsey Vazquez of Texarkana and Brianna Rhyne of Texarkana; and his siblings, Michael Clifton (Martha Jane) of Daingerfield, Kathy Clifton of Daingerfield, Julie Nicholson (Brad) of Rockwall and Carol Anne Hall of Daingerfield. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Horn Family Funeral Home Chapel (400 Webb St, Daingerfield, TX 75638). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
