He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Evelyn Nix and Guy Boy Nix; and his brothers, Glenn Nix, Guy Marlin Nix, Danny Joe Nix and Gary Lynn Nix.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann of Dallas; his children, Tracy Nix of Dallas and Jason Nix (Caroline) of Dallas; his grandchildren, Hudson of Dallas, Mary Katherine of Dallas and Luke of Dallas; and his sister Jeannie Pollan of Pittsburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
After his Alzheimer's diagnosis, he moved to Grand Brook Memory Care Garland.
