He was predeceased by: his parents, R. L. Mitchell and Marvel Hawk Mitchell; his brother Gilbert Miller; his sister-in-law Sandra Miller; his aunt Lynn Martin; and his uncle H. L. Martin.
He is survived by: his nieces, Dawn Miller of Longview and Susan Riley (Mike) of Graham; and his nephew Keith Miller (Chyrisse) of Austin. He is also survived by seven great-nieces and nephews, and ten great-great-nieces and nephews.
