He was predeceased by: his parents, Byrd Byrd and Myrtle Johnson Byrd; his siblings, Gene Byrd, Benny Byrd, Jack Byrd and Sue Betros; and his son Mike Byrd.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Byrd; his son Jack "Bubba" Byrd; his stepchildren, Kevin Ward (Perrin), Scott Beckworth (Janie), Chris Beckworth (Jenny Wu) and Lea Andrah Beckworth (Bruno Davaillon); and his grandchildren, Michael Byrd, Bradie Peck (Ryan Peck), Ashlee Menefee (Michael), Jená Ward, K. J. Ward, Daniel Beckworth, Tabitha Beckworth, John Beckworth, Grace Beckworth and Max Beckworth. He is also survived by His 7 great-grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
