He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy Eli and Katherine Hannah Elmer; and his siblings, June Sturgeon, Betty Ruth Skinner and Timothy Edward Elmer.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Elmer; and his children, Jeffery Elmer, Phillip Elmer (Pamela), Christopher Elmer (Krista), Cynthia Stevens (Len) and Jennifer Rae Elmer (David Strosnider).
In lieu of flowers, the family would request that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
