She was predeceased by: her father Frank W. Smith, Jr.. She is survived by: her mother Brunhild Rosemann; her husband Dr. C. Turner Lewis; her son Huntleigh F. Gilbard (Emily Gilbard); her grandson Harrison Tucker Gilbard; and her sister Barbara Smith.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Bichon Frise Club of America Charitable Trust at www. bichonrescue.org.
