He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Smith and Fannie Smith; and his children, Barry Smith, Bryan Smith and Beverly Smith Hunter (Jeff).
He is survived by: his wife Johnnie F. Smith; and his children, Bobby Jr., Becky Davis (Willie) and Pamela Smith. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren.
