He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Cole and Ruby Lee Cole; and his brothers, Clarence Lee Cole, Tiny Cole, Nicky Cole and Tommy Cole (Bobbie).

He is survived by: his wife Pat Jones Cole; his children, Lisa Zimmerman (Steve), Dave Cole (Kristen) and Emily Cole; the mother of his children Leta Cole; his stepchildren, Stephanie Wilken (Bret) and Aaron Jones (Landry); his grandchildren, Michael Zimmerman, Matthew Zimmerman, Mackenzie Zimmerman, Billie Cole, Charlie Cole, Jack Wilken, Kate Wilken, Luke Wilken and Brady Jones; his siblings, Tex Cole (Kay) and Rex Cole; and his sister-in-law Doris Cole.
