DDS Durrell P. Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of DDS Durrell P. Smith (Dallas, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 22, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Blanche Padgitt (Olin Welborn Smith) and Texan. He is survived by: his wife Janey of Greenville; his son Durrell "Bud" Padgitt Smith Jr. (Michelle); his grandchildren, Juliana, Tatum and Crockett of Dallas; his daughter Jean Smith Schendle (Matthew); his grandchildren, Cooper, Lily and Margot of Dallas; his son Kyle Matthew Smith (Holly); his grandchildren, Lydia and Carter of McKinney; his siblings, Bodey Smith (Betty) of Dallas, Rusty Smith (Lynne) of Los Angeles and Mai Brown (Paul) of Forney; and his sister-in-law Peggy Lohr (Bill) of Plano. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
