Though Emma may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Emma touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father Dr. Fred Lee Hackney. She is survived by: her mother Gail Owen Hackney; her sister Maggie Hackney Pinholster (Ian); her niece Elizabeth Pinholster; her boyfriend Franklin Fotopoulos; her aunts, Eva Jean Thompson (Victor) of Hoover, AL and Patty Owen Compton (Jere) of Nashville, TN.; and her uncle John Alvis Hackney (Ann) of Guntersville, AL.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church (4344 Colgate Ave, Dallas, TX 75225).
