She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Francis Lemons and Grace Anderson Lemons; her brothers, Edward and Marvin Lemons; and her son Karl Whatley.
She is survived by: her husband Edward Whatley; her siblings, Carla Gayley and Phil Lemons; her granddaughter Rachael Johnson (Christopher); and her great grandchild Anne.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park (13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at the Restland Cemetery - Garden of Memories (13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243).
