She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Farris and Blanche Farris of Missouri; and her siblings, Cornelius, George, Isaac, Mary, Martha and Ophelia.
She is survived by: her daughter Germaine Brown; her grandchildren, Jocelyn, Francesca and James Brown IV; and her great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Anastasia of James and Brown V. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
