He was predeceased by: his parents, Feliberto Cuellar and Anita Cuellar; his wife Aurora Arroyo Cuellar; his children, Gloria Cuellar Zarate and David Arroyo Cuellar; and his grandson Gilbert Cuellar III.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Antonio Zarate; his sons, Raymond (Carol Cuellar), Gilbert Cuellar Jr., Alfred Cuellar and Fabian (Rebecca Cuellar); and his siblings, Joe Cuellar, Virginia Botello, Rosie Saucedo and Joseph Rodriguez. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jeter & Son Funeral Home (4830 W Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX 75211). A rosary was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church (4015 S Hampton Rd, Dallas, TX 75232).
