He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Lou Gonzales Duran. He is survived by: his wife Mary Elena Duran; his father Gilbert Duran Sr.; and his siblings, Benny, Alex Duran, Yvonne Bernal, Lisa Treviño and Patricia Duran. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
