She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Shaffer and Myrtle Mae Morris; her husband J. C. Samples; and her siblings, J. H. and Martha Jean.
She is survived by: her daughters, Twila Durrett (Ken) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Sharon Jarriel (Johnny) of Okeechobee, Florida and Pam Frantz (Monty) of Mesquite, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Cathy Stewart (Don), Kimberly Espinosa (Geoffrey), Jon Jarriel (Jenn), David Jarriel (Jennifer), Rebecca McKim (Zack), Jessica Watkins (Josh), Tyler Frantz (Britany) and Joy Jarriel.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A burial was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Restland Cemetery (13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM.
