He was predeceased by: his parents, Hao Dinh Vu and Hoc Thi Vu; and his sister Chi Kim Thi Vu. He is survived by: his spouse Kim Dang Vu; his daughter Yvette Ann Vu (Chau Minh Uong); his grandchildren, Markus Bao Dinh Uong, Lukas Binh Cao Uong, Thomas Dan Minh Uong, Mercy Y Van Uong, Lucy Kieu Hoang Uong, Trinity Tien Hang Uong and Edison Don Minh Uong; his son Joseph Vu; and his siblings, Thang Duc Vu, Lieu Thi Vu and Nhung Thi Vu.
