It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavada Joy Barrett (Dallas, Texas), born in Bronte, Texas, who passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lavada Joy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lavada Joy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Schley Gibbs Barrett Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Suzanne Stolle (Rick) and George Barrett (Katie); her granddaughters, Jennifer, Elizabeth (Jimmy) and Kathryn; her great grandchildren, Caroline and Madeline; and her granddaughter Grace.
