She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel Godwin and Albert E. (Jewel Tosch); her husband Ballard Wycough "B. W." Cruce Jr.; and her daughter Jane Ann Cruce. She is survived by: her children, Joe Jack Cruce and Jill Cruce; her granddaughters, Laci Lusk and Jessica Poole; her grandson-in-law Daniel Poole; her great grandchildren, Ben and Georgia Poole; and her nephews, Jim and Jeff O'Brien. She is also survived by spouses, and many extended family members and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the March of Dimes or St. Jude's in Marlene's honor.
